The beautiful town of Amalfi Italy is located on the Amalfi Coast southeast of Naples.  There are three ways to get there from Naples using public transportation:

1. Boat from Naples Ferry Terminal to Sorrento; bus from Sorrento to Amalfi
2. Conventional train from from Naples to Salerno; bus from Salerno to Amalfi
3. Commuter train from Naples to Sorrento; bus from Sorrento to Amalfi

Full day bus passes for the Amalfi Coast cost on 6 euro - a real bargain!

It is not recommended to take a private vehicle on the road between Sorrento and Salerno as the road is narrow and treacherous.
